Don’t get caught fighting fires with your shoelaces tied together! Stay nimble by embracing a multi-stage environment, from development to test to staging to production. We’ll explore how to reduce risks using a stepwise approach to developing, deploying, and verifying your solutions. Along the way, we’ll look at a number of new features in FME Server 2017, including projects, user-based security, and job management.
Prerequisites / Level of Difficulty
Experienced FME Server authors and administrators looking for a hands-on workshop. Exercises assume pre-existing knowledge of FME Desktop and FME Server.
Please bring a laptop that can connect to wifi and remote desktop to Windows machines. A remote Windows machine with FME Desktop will be provided, plus various installations of FME Server and/or FME Cloud.
To make it easy to set up your laptop, your FME workshop trainers have prepared a virtual machine with everything you'll need including an installation of FME Desktop, FME Server, and/or FME Cloud, and course material.
You can connect to your virtual machine using Remote Desktop Connection software. Remote Desktop Connection is pre-installed on most Windows operating systems. For Mac OS X, you can install "Microsoft Remote Desktop" from the App Store.
If you already have a virtual machine setup from pre-conference training, you do not need to setup another. If not, please set up the virtual machine before the workshop if possible:
